Posted September 5th, 2007 by JustinAmanda's Surgery
Posted June 3rd, 2008 by JustinWe've been back in Oregon for a week now. Amanda had her surgery yesterday. Everything went fine. She's in a lot of pain still and we had to redo a bandage because it was bleeding.
She has an appetite though which is very good for Amanda :).
Back in Ardmore for a bit
Posted May 15th, 2008 by JustinI'm posting from a friend's house right now. It's nice to see a lot of people. It's pretty weird to see the kind of businesses that seem to have expanded and moved in since I was away. Just the kind of businesses that this area does NOT need.
I think there should be some sort of public education announcement to get people to stop giving their money to crooks, and learn how to responsibly budget themselves.
Scooter silencing
Posted March 22nd, 2008 by JustinMy scooter is kind of loud an all of my neighbors are pretty quiet so felt bad because I broke my old home made silencer that consisted of some copper tubing a couple of clamps and a riding mower silencer.
Miscarriage / Surgery
Posted March 13th, 2008 by JustinWhen we went to the hospital when we were 12 weeks along we found out that the baby had developed into a blighted ovum. We eventually had it checked by about 4 people and they urged her to get a D&C because of some extra tissue that didn't look normal and would cause problems. Amanda has had the operation now, but we haven't gotten any information back yet on the tissue samples.
Just wanted to put it out there and let everyone know. It has been a rough past couple of weeks.
Fried Squash and Stuffed Bell Peppers
Posted March 12th, 2008 by JustinThe past couple days Amanda and I have been experimenting with some cooking.
We bought a whole lot of groceries and there was a lot of squash out on the shelves so I picked up some. Tonight I fried the squash with just 1 tbsp of vegetable oil. Used about a tsp of garlic salt. And fried it until blackness appeared on both sides, just like back home. That was really really good, something you can't find in a restaurant around here.
Baby, Future, Vacation
Posted February 8th, 2008 by JustinSo I'm not sure how many of you guys know yet, but Amanda and I are due to have a baby on September 7th! I am really excited and we bought some parenting books yesterday. I hope I will be a good father. I have no idea what I think would be a good name, maybe someone out there can help me out. You don't get to learn the sex until the 5th month.
Oregon Floods
Posted December 6th, 2007 by JustinEveryone has been talking about the floods here. I haven't been affected much, but it is very crazy the amount of damage it has done. I-5 our central highway is pretty much decommissioned.
New blastproof cloth, much cheaper, much more effective.
Posted December 6th, 2007 by Justinhttp://gizmodo.com/gadgets/blast_proof-fabric-defies-belief/zetix-blast+... This is an amazing technology that I can't believe hasn't been thought up before... Zetix is a fabric so strong it will resist multiple car bomb blasts without breaking. It absorbs and disperses the energy from explosions thanks to an inner structure so adamantiumtastic it can be used in body armor, window covering, military tents and hurricane defenses—it might even be able to fend off my ex-wife.
Tooth problems
Posted December 4th, 2007 by JustinLast night one of my teeth decided to fall into pieces, so today I'm trying to get info from my insurance provider and find a dentist to go to asap.
Wish me luck :)
